Yoan Gouffran (born May 25, 1986 in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges) is a French footballer of Guadeloupean descent, currently playing for SM Caen. His position is striker. He has bags of pace and a is an excellent finisher with either his left or right foot. He is being tipped to join Arsenal F.C before the end of the 2007/2008 season.
Gouffran took part in the 2006 U-21 Championships in Portugal, where he made four appearances and scored one goal.
On May 20, 2007, Gouffran was awarded French Ligue 2 Player of the Season after a successful season with SM Caen which saw the club promoted to the Ligue 1. The highly-rated 21-year-old was named Ligue 2 Player of the Year as he helped Caen seal promotion to the top flight of French football.
