Olivier Kapo

He is a Ivorian-born French international football player. He plays as a midfielder.

Olivier Kapo, full name Narcisse-Olivier Kapo-Obou (born September 27, 1980 in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire), is a French international, Ivorian-born football (soccer) midfielder who currently plays for Birmingham City.
Kapo joined Juventus from French club Auxerre in the summer of 2004, but he struggled to adapt to life in Turin and as a result was loaned to another French club (Monaco) for the 05-06 season.
Kapo spent the last term on loan at Primera Liga outfit Levante, amassing five goals in thirty appearances for the Spanish club.
Olivier is married and has a daughter, Farel-Andrea (born April 5, 2004). His preferred foot is his left.
Kapo signed for Birmingham City on June 29, 2007 in a deal worth £3m. He scored on his Premier League debut against Chelsea on 12 August 2007.
Before signing for Birmingham he dropped a huge hint that he wanted to see if he could hack it in the Premier League. He told the Spanish press this: "Juventus know my preferences. I want a good sporting project. The Premier League is very attractive for any player. For me it would be excellent. My experience in Spain has been positive, but Levante were only fighting to avoid relegation and I desire a club who have more ambition."
It is thought that the above comment was the springboard for Steve Bruce to make a official approach for the Juventus player. Indeed, it was noted by the club's official website that it was a major coup as there were many potential suitors for Kapo. Portsmouth and Everton were thought to be interested and a 11th hour bid was made by Fulham; however, it seemed too little too late as the star had already agreed in principle a contract with the Premiership returnees.
Kapo has been tipped to make as big an impact at Birmingham as fan's favourite, Christophe Dugarry did during his stint with Birmingham City.
