Jô (born João Alves de Assis Silva in São Paulo) is a Brazilian football striker, playing for CSKA Moscow.

Corinthians Jo played for Corinthians during the years of 2003-2005. He made 85 appearence's scoring 13 goals. He became a fan favorite, but was later transfered to CSKA Moscow in 2005.

CSKA Moscow Jo has proven to be a skillful, strong and pacey striker and has proceeded to score 14 goals in his first 18 appearances for the Russian club, securing his status as a fan-favourite.

International Career Only being young he received his first call-up to the Seleção in May 2007 to be in the squad to play against England later in the year and made his international debut in friendly against Turkey, in June 2007.
